Introduction

You have a 3d scanner and want to add your car to the Calculator ? Yes you can ! 😀 This guide explains how to properly scan a car so it can be added to the calculator.

Tips💡

  • OEM suspension (the car must have 100% factory suspension)
  • Get in touch with us before scanning a car
  • One scan for the front
  • One scan for the rear
  • Wheels must be straight and on the ground
  • The scans don't have to be very detailed, 1mm precision is enough
  • The scans have to include the following key points, but don't have to be 100% complete 👇

Scan💻

  • Whole suspension system, mainly the UCA/LCA rotation points (bushings, ball joints)

              • Top and bottom of the shock
                • Wheel face
                • Fender arch

                • Fender liner
                  • Ground around the wheel (1 foot radius)

                  Measure📏

                  • Distance between rim face and the disk brake where it makes contact with the rim (not where the pad rubs)

                    • Fender arch upper flat part length

                    • Fender arch upper lip width

                    Pictures📷

                    • Takes a few pictures of each of the wheels's suspension system, just in case something is missing

                    Files📂

                    • Identify the files so that we can distinguish the front and the rear
                    • The scans have to be in OBJ format (.obj, .mtl, .png)
                    • The files have to be on a cloud space where we can download it
